Getting Past a Rough Start
The Beginning of the
End (of
your vocal frustration)This is devoted to all the frustrated singers that feel as if there is no hope...
You want to be a singer, but learning to sing is just SO difficult!
No it isn't. It isn't difficult, but for some it can be frustrating. You try to sing but your voice keeps breaking up. You can't sing high without straining, and you have no vocal confidence as a result. This can change.
When you sit down and think about vocal training you might become intimidated and discouraged because you think it is so hard and you will never get your hands on that beautiful voice you've always wanted. Well what if I told you that voice CAN be found? Would you be willing to go through the vocal training to get it? I sure hope so! You have a beautiful voice inside. Well what if someone handed you the keys to unlock that voice? Because I know the keymaker, and I can have him send you a copy of that key!
"The beginning", hmm...where should I start? Well, I guess I will start with the beginning! Some beginnings are great, like the beginning of a new relationship. However, there are some beginnings that are just no fun. Nobody enjoys the beginning of a diet, or the beginning of a tough workout schedule. We just want to see those results, NOW! Reaching the end of that journey feels so great, but the journey to get there is just... so... looooong.
Make a promise to yourself. And keep it!
All you have to do is get through the beginning. Once you learn all of the basics and get on the right track, you have no place to go except forward. Everything will start falling right into place, just as long as you get past that darn beginning. That rough beginning might not always be fun, you might get mad, you might lose hope, you might feel like giving up, BUT - keep your eye on the prize! You CAN get there, and you WILL get there. All you have to do is stay focused and use your will-power to keep you moving.
The Pro's Make it Look SO Easy!
Yes, they do. They make it look so easy because it IS easy! Especially after the 999th time doing it. Once you learn the basics, all you have to do is keep working and working and working and you too will make it look easy. Its just that darn beginning, again. You see, once you learn how to coordinate your voice to sing, every second of practice keeps adding up. Once you have correct technique, just practice for 30-45 minutes per day and in a year you should be WAY ahead of where you started from. All you have to do is learn those basic coordinations. Once you get it all correct, just keep going and going and going, and as the days go by you will find yourself growing with each day.
Again, it's just that beginning. After you get past the beginning, its just clock work - and then YOU decide the limits.
So please, stop letting that tough beginning discourage you. After it all, its just the beginning!
